About

Jon McAlpine Architecture is a multi-award-winning architectural practice based in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, with a core focus on residential & commercial design. We pride ourselves on creating stunning architecture, ranging from homes on small sites to extensive beachfront & rural homes.

I had spent 13 years with some of the Bay Of Plenty’s leading designers before making the step to head my own architectural practice. Jon McAlpine Architecture was formed in 2014.

Jon McAlpine Architecture works collaboratively with various consultants and contractors which enables us to produce the best possible detailed drawings, utilising labour and materials in the most efficient way possible. This process saves you both time and money. There are so many strengths and benefits of the way we work.

My design philosophy is driven by simple pure forms. The absence of unnecessary elements uncovers a building in its true form. In my view, this creates the best possible architectural response. Also, ensuring there is a seamless connection between spaces based on how clients live and work in a space. It is the integration of design features that seamlessly blend form with function.
